"Now I have talked a bit about the EC this past week but this guy is doing a whole other animal. He is doing the 1,200 mile Ultimate Florida Challenge. It includes 2 long river legs and a 40 mile portage. Packed in that tiny (and fast) craft are bolt on wheels and a folding bike so he should make quick work of that. Good luck and fair winds Alan Stewart"

"Look at that innocent baby-face, and the relaxed demeanor! But don't let that fool you because under that drysuit beats the heart of a steely-eyed sailor-man with an unconquerable lust for adventure. 900 miles to go and I will be spending an inordinate amount of time following the tracker. Look up the word 'relentless' and you find a picture of SOS! Obviously a product of bad parenting and too-early exposure to salt water! Just kidding, Paul Stewart! When I looked up the word 'indomitable' there was a picture of SandyBottom! The three of you have an unprecedented record of success in WaterTribe and when you toss in the innovations in designing and improving our small watercraft, well that is just like gravy on our mashed potatoes. We are all going to be cheering the Stewarts along every mile of the UFC and taking vicarious pleasure in your success!"
