"Stage one of Ultimate Challenge done, 300 miles, 7 days. A challenging EC this year. The 36 mile crossing of Florida Bay took 18 hours, starting at 6pm Fri night going non-stop in headwinds ranging from 15-25 mph. Slow going. We'll leave for next stage tomorrow.
